Recently we brought in a Cognex/DVT vision system through an OEM and their distributor did not provide adequate hardware and support to successfully solve the problem. Mark and I had reviewed this application previously at a free vision seminar held at Industrial Control so he was already familiar with the product and process. Mark was willing to come in on very short notice to assist me knowing full well that his direct compensation could simply be a satisfied customer. He provided me the necessary lens and filter to complete the installation as well as the guidance to finish the software setup. One final visit and follow up conversation was all it took to make this a successful installation.
When I first called Mark and his team at Industrial Control less than two years ago, I was simply looking for replacement parts. What I have learned since is that they are truly interested in solving my problems and not just selling me hardware. They offer engineered solutions and training seminars without the pressure to buy their products. They are now one of my preferred Suppliers. I consider Mark to be one of a select group of go-to guys. I never hesitate to call him when I am in need of support or an automation solution.
