Cognex Corporation is the world's leading supplier of machine vision systems or computers that can "see" which are used to automate a wide range of manufacturing processes where vision is required. Cognex has been recognized repeatedly by a number of top publications, including BusinessWeek, Fortune, and Forbes.
Cognex's vision systems automatically identify products, inspect for defects, gauge part dimensions, and guide robotic equipment at up to thousands of parts per minute. For example, our products are used to track semiconductor wafers through manufacturing processes, to guide the placement of surface mount devices (SMDs) onto circuit boards, to inspect light bulbs, and to assess the quality of printing on the face of a watch.
These vision sensors provide users with the highest level of In-Sight performance, and are the only vision sensors available today that provide industrial-grade features as standard.
Where mounting space is tight, or a lightweight camera is required, the In-Sight® 5400R remote head vision sensor is the perfect solution. The In-Sight 5400R delivers the same ruggedness and performance as the In-Sight 5400, yet fits into very small spaces.
Checker is the smarter sensor because it detects parts by understanding what they look like, providing unmatched detection and inspection reliability. In addition, Checker does it all without precise part handling! From the straw on a juice box to the weld nuts on an automobile frame, Checker lets you know if everything is in place ... simply and reliably.
The new Checker 200 is an all-in-one inspection sensor with built-in lighting and a variable working distance, capable of inspecting over 6000 parts per minute, all in a package small enough to fit into tight spaces. The new Checker 200 Series inspection sensors have once again redefined their class. They pack a host of new advantages into a small size.
Today, the fastest growing industrial identification (ID) segment is Direct Part Mark (DPM) identification. DPM ID involves directly forming machine-readable codes on manufactured items and tracking those items as long as they are useful. Cognex has applied nearly a quarter century of machine-vision based image formation and image analysis expertise in its suite of world-class ID products. The codes are produced by dot peen, laser, electrochemical etch, and inkjet markers on a variety of surfaces such as metal, glass, ceramic, and plastic.
