New Cimrex Touch Terminals

The Cimrex 67 and 69 combine the benefits of a full graphic display with the user friendliness of a touch screen. The terminal has a 5.7" graphic touch screen; the Cimrex 67 with a 16 gray scales STN display and the Cimrex 69 with a 256 colors STN display; both with a background light. The resolution of 320 x 240 pixels makes it possible to display pictures with great clarity. The touch screen makes it easy to develop intuitive applications, which minimizes the need for operator training. To increase the flexibility even further, the terminal can be used in either landscape or portrait position.

Cimrex 69, Part #M.1301.2076, is $1,290.

Cimrex 67, Part #M.1301.2073, is $990.

New Web functions are now included in CIMREX operator terminals. It is now possible via Internet, Intranet or a direct modem connection to remote control your terminal via an Internet browser.

It is also possible to monitor and set data in the controller, transfer alarm messages, recipe and trend files and of course send email.

Remote Control using Java
It is now possible to remote control your operator panel via any Internet browser. The terminal can either be directly connected via Ethernet or via standard telephone modem.

Send e-mail
It is now possible to send e-mail with alarms or reports from the terminal. The terminal can either be directly connected via Ethernet or via standard telephone modem.

Surf into your machine
For full flexibility in remote monitoring and control it is possible to set the terminal up as a webserver. Create your HTML files, with links to the PLC devices, and browse remotely via any Internet browser. The terminal can either be directly connected via Ethernet or via standard telephone modem.

Cimrex has a new DVT driver which allows for DVT data registers to be displayed on the Cimrex HMI panel and allows operators to select different products.

Can also be used to prompt user to enter in text for the DVT camera to verify.

Using Cimrex’s new Web Functions, you can also email quality and production results or display this imformation on your internal web browser.

2001-08-14 New functionality in version 4.0*
The operator terminals in the CIMREX series are continually being improved. In version 4.0 the functionality is greatly increased and the programming tool CIMREX PROG is even easier to use and is now available in English, German and Swedish with more languages to come.

With the new Dual Drivers function it is possible to connect two control systems to the terminal. The control systems can be of the same or of different makes and can be connected either to the serial ports or via Ethernet, using the Ethernet expansion card. The terminal can display data from both control systems on the display and data can be exchanged between the control systems via the terminal as a background task.

The graphic in the terminals is greatly improved with the new Vector Based Graphic. All objects can now freely overlap on the screen, both static and dynamic objects. All properties of an object, e.g. color, size, position, visible etc., can freely be controlled from analog or digital devices. This greatly improves the dynamics in the screen making the operator dialog even clearer.

The new Multi Language function allows the operator to switch language in the application during run-time. The project can handle up to 10 languages and all messages in the project are stored in a message library. The message library can be exported to Excel to simplify the translation to other languages, and after that imported back to the project.

Terminals of earlier versions can easily be upgraded to version 4.0 by downloading the new system program with CIMREX TOOLS. The system programs can be downloaded from this site.

* Excluding CIMREX 5

2001-12-21 New system program for CIMREX 10 - CIMREX 91
CIMREX-range version 4.01

  • · Improved handling of Ethernet communication and the www-functions.
  • · If the server goes down in a BDTP network the client will continue to work against its physical PLC and not reboot. When the server is active again the BDTP network will start-up automatically. If the command BCTO is used the "BDTP comm error" message is only displayed at the first retry.
  • · When dual drivers are used and one controller is lost the terminal will continue to work with the active controller and try to reconnect to the inactive every 10s. The command MDx (x = time in ms) changes the interval time.
  • · The command SJAFx (x = font size (1-7)) displays the UserID on the terminal when it is accessed remotely with the JAVA applet. If no user is defined the word JAVA is displayed.
  • · Alarms can be acknowledged in the banner without selecting it, only one banner per block is allowed.
  • · The command TESOSn (n = *-> means all trend objects are affected, n = T-> means only trends that starts with the letter T is affected) means only one sample is stored when the enable trend signal changed from inactive to active.
  • · The sample that is stored when a trend is switched off with the enable signal can be deleted with the command FTNO.
