Beijer Electronics is releasing a completely new PC based HMI system for monitoring and control of machines and processes. CEZAR offers higher functionality and performance than traditional operator terminals whilst keeping the user friendliness for the operator.
Hard- and software
The HMI system CEZAR consists of an industrial PC with preinstalled software. The operating system is Windows NT or 2000. The industrial PC is designed by Beijer Electronics and has a resistive TFT touch screen in color with 800 x 600 pixels resolution. It is designed to stand up for tough industrial environments and is suitable for panel mounting. CEZAR is also available as software only to be installed on any standard PC.
Graphic user interface
CEZAR has a graphic user interface in familiar Windows environment. This, in combination with easy maneuvering via the touch screen, creates optimal user friendliness. A complete process screen is easily created with predefined or own created objects. The objects can be shifted, redimensioned, shown, hidden and made to blink during operation. The system also supports import of 3rd parties ActiveX controls.
Many efficient functions
The CEZAR HMI system comes with a wealth of ready-to-use, basic functions. With the efficient Alarm Manager alarms can be grouped, sorted and filtered. In the Recipe Manager machine settings can easily be created, edited and stored. Trend curves can be displayed in real-time and historically. In the Authority System all objects can be given a security level. Each user is given authorization to a particular level. The Data Logger is used to log values to a database, either time or event controlled.
Flexible development environment
With the flexible development environment in CEZAR the user can choose between basic and advanced development options by means of tabbed dialog boxes, an object inspector or a script editor. The tabbed dialog boxes provide a good overview of the object settings, and make it easy to adapt object appearances and functions. The object inspector provides a complete overview of object properties and their values. If you prefer programming in Visual Basic script, the script editor allows you unlimited freedom when developing applications.
Great openness
The CEZAR HMI system communicates with various databases including SQL server, Oracle and Access. CEZAR is delivered with drivers for most brands of control systems and automation equipment in an OPC server. Several OPC servers can be used simultaneously, which allows various types of brands of automation equipment to be connected. Since CEZAR contains an OPC client, it also supports OPC servers from other manufacturers.
